Laurence Vanhyfte joined contrast in 2015 and she is a senior associate since 2021. Laurence has extensive experience in a broad range of commercial, competition and privacy and data protection law matters, with a focus on distribution law. Her experience includes several in-house assignments at clients of contrast.
Laurence graduated with a master’s degree in Law from the University of Ghent and obtained an LL.M. in International Competition Law & Policy from the University of Glasgow.
Laurence contributed as a co-author to the book ‘Gegevensbescherming in de praktijk’ (‘Data protection in practice’), published by Intersentia in 2019. She frequently speaks at in-house seminars and trainings.
Laurence Vanhyfte is a member of the Brussels bar. She speaks Dutch, English and French.
