contrast organizes its first Closed Competition Workshop on private damages in competition law. Around 35 selected lawyers from different EU Member States participate in the workshop. The morning session consists of an in-depth analysis of the Private Damages Directive, chaired by Eddy De Smijter (head of unit private enforcement, DG COMP, European Commission). During the afternoon session, presentations on private damages claims are given by Martin Seegers and Ben Bornemann (Cartel Damages Claims) and Anneli Howard (Monckton Chambers).
