Frank Wijckmans completed the module on ‘The Law and Economics of Vertical Restraints'

Frank Wijckmans completed last week the module on ‘The Law and Economics of Vertical Restraints’ at the Brussels School of Competition, together with Luc Peeperkorn (European Commission – DG competition). Different competition topics were discussed during three sessions, which each included a workshop and quiz. Winner of our riddle ‘Guess the article on the 2017 contrast ruler’

Melanie De L’Arbre, winner of our riddle ‘Guess the article on the 2017 contrast ruler’, received our surprise package. Besides the more serious work (a copy of our book ‘Share Purchase Agreements’ and the latest edition of the M&A Survey), the surprise package also included contrast’s more indulgent goodies (our wonderful beach towel and candy). contrast organized its annual corporate day

In collaboration with LCM Student Association and VRG, contrast organized its annual corporate day in Leuven. More than 50 enthusiastic students from both the law faculty and other faculties participated in our M&A workshop. First they analyzed a due diligence report and then negotiated a share purchase agreement in the afternoon. Congratulations to Mathias Deceuninck, Shani Dooms and Jeff Malcorps, three members of the winning negotiation team and to Barbara Alliet and Andreas Belderbos for winning a special acknowledgement as best non-lawyer negotiator!
