contrast competition law team receives Global Competition Review Award
The contrast competition law team, as part of a combined team with Eversheds Sutherland and Cleary Gottlieb, received the Global Competition Review (“GCR”) Award for Behavioral Matter of the Year (Europe) for its work in the European Commission’s Trucks settlement case. The Award was handed over at the annual GCR Awards ceremony in Washington DC on 29 March 2017. With this Award, the teams were recognized for the creative, strategic and innovative work carried out in the Trucks case. The Trucks case marks the first (hybrid) settlement case after the European Commission had already issued a statement of objections. GCR is the world’s leading competition law and policy journal.

Toprankings for contrast
contrast is very proud that the contrast Competition & EU team continues to be ranked as the absolute top (Band 1) for Belgian competition law by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500. At the EU level, our team is ranked no. 2 of the independent Belgian law firms active in this area. This splendid ranking is the result of a true team effort of the 14 lawyers and 2 paralegals which are part of our growing Competition & EU team.
