I joined contrast in September 2017. I am an associate in the (EU and Belgian) competition law team, specialising in EU and Belgian merger control. I am a member of the contrast Automotive Task Force, focusing on recent developments in the automotive sector with respect to merger control. I have also gained considerable expertise in privacy and data protection.
I have contributed to the monograph 'Gegevensbescherming in de praktijk' (Anouk Focquet | Eline Declerck, Intersentia, 2019). In addition, I have co-authored several publications on privacy and data protection and state aid.
Before joining contrast, I was an intern at the EU Competition & Regulatory Practice of Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP. During my studies, I also took part in an exchange program at the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars (Washington D.C.).
I hold a master degree in law from the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and obtained an LL.M. in EU Competition and Intellectual Property Law at the University of Liège (ULg). I speak Dutch, English and French and have a basic understanding of German.
