EDLD Update

The European Distribution Law Day was a great success! With no less than 260 participants and 21 speakers from 15 EU Member States, the conference was a truly unique event. Minister of Justice Koen Geens kicked off the day with an opening address highlighting the importance of pan-European publication projects. Questions on selectivity, pricing, differences in national commercial law regimes and e-commerce were addressed in crisp and practical interventions of the panel members. Lucas Peeperkorn, Principal Expert in Antitrust Policy at the European Commission, offered his perspective on the likely future developments in both the online and offline distribution world. We would like to thank the guest speakers, the authors of the national monographs and our colleagues from contrast for making this a truly outstanding event. For more information, materials, podcasts and photos, see our European Distribution Law Website.
